About Us

Our Mission:

Our mission is to market and promote Northfield, and enhance the economic vitality of the community by attracting visitors, tour groups, corporate meetings, conferences, retreats, and events to Northfield.

Our Vision:
We envision Northfield as a premier tourist destination, retaining and showcasing the values, heritage, culture and natural beauty of Northfield and the surrounding area.

Who We Are:
The Northfield Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is the official destination marketing organization for the city and serves to favorably impact Northfield’s economy through conventions and tourism.

The Northfield CVB serves as the first point of contact for meeting planners, sports tournament directors, tour operators, special event planners, and leisure travelers. The CVB staff assists groups with site selection, group accommodations and meeting preparation, provides sports tourism information, and markets the region to travelers in order to increase overnight visitation and spending.

The CVB produces official tourism publications; manages the official tourism website for Northfield, and provides assistance to host meetings, group tours and sporting events. It develops advertising and social media campaigns to attract visitors who will stay longer and spend more money.

The CVB administers an official Northfield Tourism Information Center at the Chamber offices at 19 Bridge Square. Additionally, the CVB keeps tourism industry partners updated on the latest in research trends and marketing programs, as well as business development opportunities.

What we can do for you:
Whether you’re planning a week-end getaway or vacation, making arrangements to bring a tour group in by bus or need help with planning a conference or convention, the staff at the Northfield Convention and Visitors Bureau is here to assist you.  We can help you with:

  • Lodging choices
  • Providing directions
  • Customizing itineraries and travel plans
  • Providing maps, brochures and information on attractions and events
